New England Patriots Fall From Glory

Rex Ryan and the New York Jets headed into Foxborough to avenge their 45-3 week 13 loss, and that’s exactly what they did, beating New England 28-21. The Jets were flying early on, frustrating Tom Brady and the Patriots taking full advantage of their mistakes. New Yorks defence ruffled Brady’s feathers sacking him five times, along with one interception. After averaging over 37 points in their last eight games of the season, New England was held to its third lowest point total of the year.

Not too be outdone by the defence, Mark Sanchez threw three touchdowns leading the Jets to their second straight AFC Championship game. After being outgunned by Sanchez, Brady has lost three consecutive playoff games. The two-time super bowl MVP has gone 4-5 in his last nine playoff games with a 16/13 touchdown to interception ratio, which bares the question is Brady past his prime? With two first round picks in the upcoming draft, will Bill Belichick and the Patriots begin the search for the quarterbacks successor?
